چکیده
We report the case of a man with acute erythroleukemia (AML-M6), who developed myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) involving U2AF1 mutation 8 years after HLA-matched unrelated bone marrow transplantation. It’s donor cell origin which proved by molecular analysis using Short Tandem Repeat (STR) sequences. To our knowledge, this is the first case that usage of demethylation drug in DCL patient. The recurrence of leukemia is mainly receptor-cell-derived leukemia after Allo-HSCT, and the incidence of DCL was proved to be extremely low by means of cytogenetic, molecular biology, or both. There are only a few sporadic reports at home and abroad, in this paper we report the case of a donor-cell-derived myelodysplastic syndrome involving U2AF1 mutation developing 8 years after matched unrelated bone marrow transplantation for acute leukemia and review of the literature.

Between April 1988 and July 1998, 510 patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) underwent unrelated donor bone marrow transplantation (BMT) facilitated by the National Marrow Donor Program. Median age was 38 years (range, <1-62 years). Several conditioning regimens and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) prophylaxis methods were used, and T-cell depletion was used in 121 patients. Donors were ...

Fanconi anemia is a rare autosomal recessive disease characterized by bone marrow failure, developmental anomalies, and a high incidence of myelodysplasia and acute myeloid leukemia. Stem cell transplantation is the only curative treatment. In the absence of matched- sibling donor, an alternative mismatched family or matched unrelated donor can be used, but the results are inferior to the match...

متن کاملGenetic Variants of Human Granzyme B Predict Transplant Outcomes after HLA Matched Unrelated Bone Marrow Transplantation for Myeloid Malignancies
Serine protease granzyme B plays important roles in infections, autoimmunity, transplant rejection, and antitumor immunity. A triple-mutated granzyme B variant that encodes three amino substitutions (Q48R, P88A, and Y245H) has been reported to have altered biological functions. In the polymorphism rs8192917 (2364A>G), the A and G alleles represent wild type QPY and RAH mutant variants, respecti...
